Homeowners Insurance Coverage Basics
Overview
Homeowners insurance provides financial protection against disasters for your home, its contents, and other valuable possessions. We also offer additional coverage options so you can customize your policy to fit your needs.
Putting it all in context
The purpose of homeowners insurance is to cover the cost of restoring your home and possessions after a covered loss to the same condition they were in before the loss occurred. There are several different types of homeowners insurance policies that are available and not all coverage types are the same or are available in all states.
Here, at TCIS, we will help you determine your specific coverage needs and the options that are available to you.
What's Covered?
A homeowners insurance policy provides coverage for damage caused by most disasters. There are exceptions. The most significant exceptions are:
• Flood or water that backs up through sewers or drains. Flood insurance can be purchased as a seperate policy; water back-up coverage is available as an endorsement.
• Earthquake and earthquake aftershocks. Earthquake insurance is only available in some states.
• Landslides and mud slides
Mr. Smelley,
Good afternoon. I have been a customer of TCIS for a number of years and currently have two houses, six automobiles, four boats and an umbrella policy with your firm. The reason that I have all of this insured by TCIS is the service demonstrated by your employees.
Of particular note, I would like to recognize and commend Tiffany Miller for her excellent service. When I recently had an insurance matter with my bank dealing with a vacation home, Tiffany worked very hard to present options to resolve the matter. Her level of commitment and responsiveness was tremendous - - and much appreciated! She is a credit to your firm.
Thank you,
Robert P., Fayetteville, GA
