Umbrella Policy

Who needs one?

An umbrella policy is for protection from anything that could happen to you or any member of your household. It will provide protection against personal injury and property damage, on or off your property, as well as protection against personal injury claims such as libel, slander, wrongful eviction and false arrest - all of which are not generally covered by your basic homeowners or auto policy.

Anyone who has accumulated a lot of assets or plans to, needs and umbrella policy. Wages can be garnished for up to 50 years to settle a judgment against someone. Dog owners, parents of teenage drives, business owners or operators, throwers of parties where alcohol is served or if you drive excessive miles either for pleasure or work all need to have the protection of an umbrella policy.
