Established in 1962, our company has grown to a full service agency.

Currently, TCIS serves the insurance needs of over 3,000 individuals and families, as well as those of more than 500 business concerns in Fayette, Fulton, Coweta, Henry, Spalding and Clayton counties.

Our office utilizes a state-of-the-art computer system for record keeping ensuring the most accurate information regarding our clients is at our finger tips. C. Phillip Smelley; CIC, LUTCF
President, TCIS

A native and lifetime resident of south metro Atlanta, I began my insurance career with Prudential in 1984. With advanced training in Estate and Tax Planning, as well as Employee Benefits, I distinguished myself in investment and insurance planning with business owners. I maintain my Certified Insurance Counselor designation and am a LUTC Fellow. I am also a licensed Insurance Counselor for Life and Health and Property and Casualty products.

In 1991, I purchased a local, Fayetteville based agency called Tri City Insurance Services, established in 1962. The past eighteen years have seen our company triple in size and client services to become TCIS - The Complete Insurance Source.

Along the way, I have been involved in many community organizations, including United Way, Fayetteville Rotary Club, Fayette County Development Authority, and my church. I served for ten years on the Board of Directors of the 2,000 member National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Georgia, including 1999-2000 as their President, currently Legislative Chair.

Jayson Coan

CFO

After completing my degree in Finance from Georgia Southern University in 1992, I joined the TCIS team.  I started my career as an assistant in the Accounting department.  I obtained my insurance sales license in 1993, but chose to pursue a management role in the agency.  In 1994 I became the Accounting Manager and took on the responsibility of managing our computer network.   In 1999 I became a partner in the agency and now I am the Financial and Operations Manager.

I have been involved in several industry organizations and have acquired extensive knowledge of the insurance industry during my 16 year career.  I am a Georgia native and currently live in the city of Atlanta with my wife Anna and two sons Sam and Daniel.

Julie Beshers

Personal Lines Manager

 

I was born and raised in South Metro Atlanta and now reside in Pike County with my husband and and our 2 daughters. I began my insurance career with TCIS in September of 2001 as a Processing Assistant. Shortly after, I obtained my Property and Casualty Insurance License and began working as an Account Manager for the agency.

In 2007 I was promoted to Personal Lines Department Manager.

I also received my Life and Health License in August 2004 and am working on earning my ACSR designation (Accredited Customer Service Representative). I plan on working toward earning my AAI designation (Accredited Advisor in Insurance) next.

In May of 2009, I joined other colleagues in the community to form the Fayette County Chapter for the Young Professionals. I currently hold the position of Business Networking Chair. I am also involved with the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and have served on the Ambassador Committee for the past 3 years.

 

I am active with Southside Church in Peachtree City where I assist with the 3rd grade students.  In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy playing on the Young Professionals Softball Team, spending time with our family and going to the beach any chance we get!

 

 

 

Glen Webber; CLU, RHU

Multi-Lines Sales Agent

After completing my BS in Business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in 1975, I completed my masters in Public Administration from Pepperdine University in 1977.

I have worked in the Insurance Industry since 1986.  I have obtained my CLU and RHU designations and continue my education in financial and estate planning.

I participate in many civic activities, which include the Riverdale Kiwanis club, since 1987; I am a member of Atlanta South Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors; and I am the Treasurer of the Atlanta Chapter of the VA Tech Alumni Association.

In addition to my work in insurance I have held numerous leadership positions in local Civic organizations, past President of the Riverdale Kiwanis Club, and past President and Treasurer of the Virginia Tech. Alumni Association-Atlanta Chapter. Currently, I serve as the President of our Homeowners Association and also serve on the Board of Directors of the Griffin Gun Club.

I am retired from the US Army Reserves after 28 years of service both active and reserve.  I am, also a veteran of the First Gulf War and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

 

Teresa McPherson; CIC
Multi-Lines Sales Agent

I am a Georgia native and have lived in Fayette County since 1985. I started my insurance career in 1980 and joined TCIS in 1994. Currently I hold my property and casualty license and my Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

Over the years I have worked in several areas of the insurance business; personal, business, life and health coverage being some of them. Taking those experiences and being able to help clients with their entire insurance portfolio is my specialty.

I am an active member of various organizations in the community and live here with my husband and daughter. We enjoy the area, but head to the Georgia coast to visit family and friends whenever we get the chance.

 

 

 

Anita Meyer

Multi-Lines Sales Agent

I began my career in the insurance industry in 1983 at an independent agency in Fayetteville. I joined the TCIS team in 1999. My Alma Mater is Fayette County High School class of 1973. I am a native of Fayette County. My husband Gene and I reside in Fayetteville. I have two sons, one daughter-in-law and one adorable grandson. During my off time I enjoy spending time with my grandson and find shopping to be therapeutic.

I am happy to be a part of the TCIS team and look forward to working with you.

 

Linda DaSilva; ACSR, AAI
Customer Service Representative in Commercial Lines

I came on board TCIS in 1995 and after working in both Personal Lines and Life & Health, found my niche in the Commercial Lines department. Along the way I have attained my certification as an Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI).  I truly enjoy working with business owners helping them to find just the right coverage to protect their hard earned assets at an affordable price. It is a nice bonus to live and work in the same area so that I see my customers routinely whether I am grocery shopping, at the golf course or in church!

 

My husband, Tony, and I met at North Georgia College and just celebrated 31 years of marriage.  We are blessed with two wonderful sons, Jonathan and Michael, a beautiful daughter-in-law, Ashley, and our new grandson, Easton.  Jonathan and Ashley also met at NGCSU and Michael has begun his studies there as well! We are charter members and active participants of All Saints Anglican Church in Peachtree City, avid golfers and love taking trips to Hilton Head any chance we get.

 I am a native of Fayette County and have called Fayetteville home for the past 43 years.  I started my insurance career in 1985 at an independent agency in Fayetteville.  I joined TCIS in 1998.  My Alma mater is Fayette County High School class of 1981.  I then spent 3 years at Clayton State College finishing the nursing program in 1983.  I hold insurance licenses in both Property and Casualty/ Life and Health.  I also handle all of the licensing services for the agency.  When I am not working I enjoy traveling and hiking.

 

Scott Walton; AIA, CRIS

Service Representative in Commercial Lines

I began working in the insurance industry after graduating from college in 1981. I follow a long line of family members who chose insurance as their passion. I have sold and serviced employee benefit plans, life insurance, individual property and casualty accounts, and commercial accounts. It is being of assistance to business owners I have found most challenging.

Jamie Williams

I started my insurance career in 1999 by working at State Farm part-time on a school to work permit. While doing so, I found the passion for insurance. So needless to say I finished high school and went straight into selling insurance for an independent agency in Hilton Head Island, SC. After working there for four years, I decided to relocate to Fayetteville after being gone for 8 years and joined the great team here at TCIS in March, 2005. When I am not working I am spending time with my son, Kaleb. We enjoy anything to do with sports along with being out by the pool and in the sun! 

 

 

Tiffany Miller

Service Representative in Personal Lines

I was raised in a military family which means I was fortunate to have the opportunity to travel all over the US and Europe growing up. After living in Germany, my father was stationed in Georgia in 2000. I met my husband, Matthew Miller and I have called Fayetteville "home" ever since. I graduated from Clayton State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in December 2006. My career in insurance began at TCIS in early 2007 where I became licensed in Property and Casualty. Today, I service personal accounts such as home and auto.

 When I am not working, I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my family and friends. I have two dogs that keep me busy- when they are not chewing our house a part!

In July of 1985 I began working in the insurance business. My first employer was GA Life where I enjoyed many various positions and responsibilities. In March of 1994 I joined the staff of TCIS. I am currently using my talents and knowledge as an account assistant.

When I am not at TCIS, I enjoy reading, crafts, shopping and spending time with my husband, two children and four grandchildren.

I started my career at TCIS and in the insurance field in July of 1995. I am the Jill-of-All trades. Give me a task and  I will do it with infectious enthusiasm.
