C. Phillip Smelley, CIC, LUTCF
President, TCIS

A native and lifetime resident of south metro Atlanta, Phil began his insurance career with Prudential in 1984. With advanced training in Estate and Tax Planning, as well as Employee Benefits, he distinguished himself in investment and insurance planning with business owners. He maintains his Certified Insurance Counselor designation and is a LUTC Fellow. He is also a licensed Insurance Counselor for Life and Health and Property and Casualty products.

In 1991, he purchased a local, Fayetteville based agency called Tri City Insurance Services, established in 1962. The past twenty years have seen the company triple in size and client services to become TCIS - The Complete Insurance Source.

Along the way, he has been involved in many community organizations, including United Way, Fayetteville Rotary Club, Fayette County Development Authority, and his church. He served for years on the Board of Directors of the 2,000 member National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Georgia, including 1999-2000 as their President, currently Legislative Chair.

Jayson Coan
CFO

After completing my degree in Finance from Georgia Southern University in 1992, I joined the TCIS team.  I started my career as an assistant in the Accounting department.  I obtained my insurance sales license in 1993, but chose to pursue a management role in the agency.  In 1994 I became the Accounting Manager and took on the responsibility of managing the computer network.   In 1999 I became a partner in the agency and now am the Financial and Operations Manager.

I have been involved in several industry organizations and have acquired extensive knowledge of the insurance industry during my 19 year career.  I am a Georgia native and currently live in the city of Atlanta with my wife Anna and two sons Sam and Daniel.

Julie Beshers
Personal Lines Manager

Julie was born and raised in South Metro Atlanta and now resides in Pike County with her husband and 2 daughters. She began her insurance career with TCIS in September of 2001 as a Processing Assistant. Shortly after, she obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance License and began working as an Account Manager for the agency.

In 2007, she was promoted to Personal Lines Department Manager. She also earned her Life and Health License in August 2004 and is working toward earning her ACSR and AAI designations next. In May of 2009, she joined colleagues in the community to form the Fayette County Chamber's Chapter of “Young Professionals”. She currently holds the position of Business Networking Chair. She is also very involved with the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and serves as an Ambassador there.

She is active with Southside Church in Peachtree City where she assists with the 3rd grade students.  In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy playing on the Young Professionals Softball Team, spending time with family, and going to the beach.

Glen Webber, CLU, RHU
Multi-Lines Sales Agent

Glen earned his BS in Business at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in 1975 and his masters in Public Administration from Pepperdine University in 1977.

He has worked in the insurance industry since 1986 and shows his quest to refine his craft by earning several designations and continuing his education in financial and estate planning.

He is a long time member of the following organizations:

•  Riverdale Kiwanis club (Past President)
•  VA Tech Alumni Association-Atlanta Chapter (Past President and Treasurer)
•  Griffin Gun Club (Board of Directors)
•  Homeowners Association (President)

He retired from the US Army Reserves after 28 years of both active and reserve service.  He is, also, a veteran of the First Gulf War and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Teresa McPherson, CIC
Multi-Lines Sales Agent

Teresa is a Georgia native and has lived in Fayette County since 1985. She started her insurance career in 1980 and joined TCIS in 1994. Currently, she holds her property and casualty license and Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

Over the years, she has worked in several areas of the insurance business; personal, business, life and health coverage being some of them. Taking those experiences and being able to help clients with their entire insurance portfolio is her specialty.

She is an active member of various organizations in the community and live here with her husband and daughter. They enjoy the area, but head to the Georgia coast to visit family and friends whenever they get the chance.

Linda DaSilva, ACSR, AAI
Customer Service Representative in Commercial Lines

Linda came on board TCIS in 1995 and after working in both Personal Lines and Life & Health, found her niche in the Commercial Lines department. Along the way she has attained her certification as an Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI). She truly enjoys working with business owners helping them to find just the right coverage to protect their hard earned assets at an affordable price. It is a nice bonus to live and work in the same area so that she sees her customers routinely whether she is grocery shopping, at the golf course or in church!

She and her husband, Tony, met at North Georgia College and just celebrated 31 years of marriage. They are blessed with two wonderful sons, Jonathan and Michael, a beautiful daughter-in-law, Ashley, and a new grandson, Easton. Jonathan and Ashley also met at NGCSU and Michael has begun his studies there as well! They are charter members and active participants of All Saints Anglican Church in Peachtree City, avid golfers and love taking trips to Hilton Head any chance they get.

Scott Walton, AIA, CRIS
Service Representative in Commercial Lines

Scott began working in the insurance industry after graduating from college in 1981. He follows a long line of family members who chose insurance as their passion. He has sold and serviced employee benefit plans, life insurance, individual property and casualty accounts, and commercial accounts. It is being of assistance to business owners that he has found most challenging.

Angie Pitts
Personal Lines Account Manager

Angie began her career in the insurance industry in 2002 at an independent agency in Fayetteville. Then, in 2004, she joined the TCIS team. She resides in Griffin with her husband, Kerry, and son, Preston. She loves being a be a part of the TCIS team and looks forward to working with you.

Jamie Williams
Multi-Line Sales Manager

Jamie started her insurance career in 1999 by working at State Farm part-time on a school to work permit. While doing so, she found the passion for insurance. So, she finished high school and went straight into selling insurance for an independent agency in Hilton Head Island, SC. After working there for four years, she relocated to Fayetteville. As a Fayette County native, after being gone for 8 years, she was happy to be back home. She joined the great team, here at TCIS, in March, 2005. When she is not working she spends time with her son, Kaleb. They enjoy anything to do with sports along with being out by the pool and in the sun!

Tiffany Miller
Service Representative in Personal Lines

Tiffany was raised in a military family which means she was fortunate to have the opportunity to travel all over the US and Europe growing up. After living in Germany, her father was stationed in Georgia in 2000. She met her husband, Matthew and has called Fayetteville "home" ever since. She is a 2006 graduate of Clayton State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Her insurance career began at TCIS in early 2007 when she earned her Property and Casualty license. Today, she services personal accounts such as home and auto.

When she is not working, she enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She has two dogs that keep her busy- when they are not chewing the house a part!

Betty Bailey
Front Office Coordinator / Accounting Assistant

In July of 1985 Betty began working in the insurance business. First, at GA Life, where she enjoyed many various positions and responsibilities. In March of 1994, she joined the staff of TCIS. she am currently uses her talents and knowledge as an account assistant.

When she's not at TCIS, she enjoys reading, crafts, shopping and spending time with her husband, two children and four grandchildren.

Jan Krzykwa
Marketing Manager

Jan is a proud Georgia native and a graduate from The University of Georgia with a BBA in Sales/Marketing. Go Dawgs! She and her husband Paul have been married 15+ years and have 2 incredible sons Gabe and Noah.

Jan's exciting insurance career began with TCIS in 1995 as a Personal Lines Acct. Mgr. She worked her way up to Service Manager and then part owner.  As a The University of Georgia grad. that loves life and meeting new people; insurance was the LAST thing in the world she thought she wanted to do. It sounded soooooo BORING! But, she found that she really did enjoy helping people understand all the puzzling aspects of personal insurance and being able to help them when they had a claim. It has been very rewarding

In 2002, she took a break to raise her 2 beautiful boys. In 2008, when her youngest started Kindergarten she decided she needed to go back to work and TCIS was the first place she looked.  Now she's back as Marketing Manager helping grow the agency’s presence in the Metro Atlanta, Fayette, and surrounding communities and online. For fun she loves to swim, cook, cheer for her boys on the baseball field and volunteer at Tyrone Elementary. For vacations, they visit family on the Georgia coast or in Pennsylvania.
